Propagation in potting shed

Internships are usually two weeks in length and available May – August.  College students may earn credit through the University of Montana.

We offer three different internships:

  • Native plant horticultural practices – focused on growing methods  including learning Montana’s native species, transplanting techniques, methods of improving plant health and elements of marketing
  • Native plant propagation – available in early May or mid-August, this internship focuses on propagation techniques from seed identification and collection to seed preparation and various media used in seeding
  • Nursery business skills – looking for an opportunity to grow your business skills? This internship is available to business students and those looking for experience in marketing and sales in a small company
