Perennial wildflower with small white flowers that appear ‘pearly’ because of the papery bracts that surround each flower cluster; grey-green leaves; needs moisture in spring then dry; tends to spread quickly via rhizomes, especially given water; blooms midsummer; many medicinal uses; nice in dried flower arrangements.
